Supplier Data, Automated: Introducing Sumday's Supplier-Specific Emission Factors
Sumday's new Supplier-Specific Emission Factor dataset replaces estimates with real numbers from publicly available supplier disclosures, automated natively inside your Carbon Ledger.

For years, Scope 3 emissions reporting has relied on industry averages. Averages are fine when nothing better exists, but they're blunt instruments as they don't reflect your real value chain or show whether your suppliers are actually decarbonising. No supplier specific data, no net zero.
In line with the GHG Protocol, the gold standard is to use primary emissions data which is information reported directly by your suppliers about the goods and services you buy. This is also called a supplier-specific emission factor.
Ready to Use
Our new Supplier-Specific Emission Factor dataset is compiled and standardised from publicly available supplier disclosures, traceable back to the original reports for full auditability, and automated to work natively inside the Carbon Ledger of your assessments.
See and Use Primary Data Instantly
When a supplier-specific factor is available for a transaction, a purple tick appears beside the supplier in your Carbon Ledger. Click the transaction to open a right-hand panel with the factor details.
Full Transparency When You Need It
Selecting a supplier-specific factor opens a clear overview: supplier name & headquarters country, reporting year & boundary, emission factor (kg CO₂e per $ spent), and whether it's higher or lower than the industry average.
Click "View Details" to go deeper — you'll see factor calculation method, assurance level and auditor, scopes covered, reporting currency & revenue used, and a direct link to the original disclosure.
Why This Matters
Accurate Scope 3 reporting is no longer optional. With this update you can show supplier progress on decarbonisation instead of hiding it under averages, build audit-ready, defensible reports backed by clear source links and assurance levels, and work faster by skipping the manual factor hunt and calculation.
